SATA stands for Serial Advanced technology Attachment. SATA is a computer bus designed to transport data between to and from an internal hard disks, CD, DVD and Blu-ray drives. It is the successor to the Parallel ATA or IDE bus.

There are three versions available today: SATA, SATA II and SATA 3.0. Please refer to the user manual of your computer components to choose the right cable.
